Management systems support for fire and security companies

I help fire and security companies build management systems that pass audits and are actually used. Whether you are working towards certification for the first time or preparing for a surveillance visit, I work alongside your team and tell you plainly where you stand.

What I do

Gap analysis and audit readiness: an honest, written view of where your system stands against the standard or scheme, and what to fix first.

System design and implementation: practical documentation, procedures and records built around how your business really works.

Internal audits: independent audits with clear findings, classed as non-conformities, observations or opportunities for improvement.

Management review and continual improvement: support with corrective actions, root-cause analysis and management review.

Preparing for external assessment: getting your team and records ready for NSI, NACOSS Gold and similar assessments.

Standards and schemes

ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001; BS 5979, BS EN 50518, BS 8418, BS 8484, BS 9518 and BS 7858; and NSI, NACOSS Gold and SSAIB approvals, including alarm receiving centres (ARCs). I can also support ISO 27001 and BAFE-related work.

How it works

  1. Initial discussion: we talk through your organisation and what you are working towards.

  2. Gap analysis: I review your system and records and give you written findings.

  3. Plan and support: we agree priorities and I support your team to close the gaps.

  4. Final check: a last review before your external assessment or surveillance visit.

The scope of work is agreed in writing before we start. I can work remotely or on site, and I support clients across the North of England and the Midlands.
